I get a letter from the lovely people at Immigration Quebec (in only French just to be difficult) saying that I was missing a statement of sufficient funds for tuition (which I did include in a bank statement) and because they didn't trust my bank statement they didn't cash the check that you wouldn't think would need to be certified if it were included with the bank statement, so its basically a huge mess and they send it back to me. Unprocessed. Two weeks before I have to go back to McGill. This thing takes 6 weeks to process btw, they weren't lying about that. There is absolutely no way I am going to be legal in Canada by the time class starts, and I don't expect any special treatment from the McGill administration. I'm going to call international student services tommorow and cry to them, but thats the best I can do. I'm obviously going to spend all day on the phone tommorow.
Lucky for me, I was going to graduate a semester early, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to use that wiggle room and take a semester off because of this bullshit and graduate in April. It really sucks that I'm going to have to spend yet another winter in Montreal, but I'm pretty sure I can get those jobs that I kept on hearing about too late in the summer (yet perfect for this shit). I could use the money, and this would also avoid awkward class issues I've been having, and the awkward situation with starting grad school a few weeks after I graduate with my BA. But seriously, how much does this fucking suck?
Also seriously, who wants to sublet my room in Montreal. $375 a month, its ridiculously cheap.
